Sierra Nevada, Spain
Sierra Nevada is one of the two best all-mountain biking sites in Europe (along with Leogang Bike Park in Austria). Sierra Nevada is situated in southern Spain, south of the city of Granada. The region offers a unique and adventurous mountain biking experience: you‘ll have a chance to ride on enormous mountains which reach the height of 3000m, climbs of 700 meters a day and descends of 1500 meters a day – almost all while riding technical single tracks.

Riding style
AM mountain bikers with climbing abilities and abilities of descending from high inclined and technical single tracks.

When is the best season to come?
You can come all year round, although we recommend coming between April and May, or September and October.

Getting around in Sierra Nevada
Since the trails are poorly marked, in order to find your way around, you‘ll need a guide.

Arranging a biking vacation in Sierra Nevada
In order to arrange a tour, you can join riders who are in the area for the week, and together form a group which is guided by a local guide for the week.

Accommodations
We recommend staying at our guide‘s guest house in the village of Mecina Fondales, offering some great mountain views, a little swimming pool and more…

Should I bring my own bike?
Since there isn‘t any bike hire option in the region, you‘ll have to bring your bike with you.

How to get to there
You can fly to Granada (an hour‘s drive from Mecina Fondales), or Malaga (two hours).

Additional activities
After riding the wonderful trails of Sierra Nevada, we recommend enjoying the peace and quite of the Spanish mountains, swimming at the pool and hanging out with the other bike riders… …or wait till midnight when some bars open their doors.
